Help, what’s going on here?

My unit is an MTBE distillation plant. This problem started appearing only recently in the summer; it occurs every few days, and there’s no fixed pattern as to when it will happen. The heater fails to raise the temperature, the pressure in the boiler remains constant, while the flow rate keeps fluctuating between high and low values. What’s causing this? What’s wrong with the heat exchanger?
It’s possible that the baffles inside the heat exchanger have moved, affecting the heat exchange efficiency.
Is the drain valve of the heat exchanger working properly?
