We have a column where the feed rate remains unchanged, the feed temperature remains unchanged, the composition of the feed remains unchanged, the heat supplied to the reboiler at the bottom of the column remains unchanged, and the temperature at the bottom of the column also remains unchanged. However, the temperature at the top of the column is gradually rising. Increasing the amount of condensation at the top of the column does not help either. Previously, the temperature at the top of the column could be maintained at 040 degrees, but now it can only be kept at 025 degrees. Moreover, the pressure difference between the top and bottom of the column remains unchanged. Can you help me figure out what might be the cause?

I’ve studied automatic instrument control; maybe the method of control is not correct. If the temperature does change, it should affect the operation and product quality. I have no experience; I’m just guessing at this possibility, hehe.

Is the person who posted this referring to minus 40 degrees? Or minus 25 degrees? How is the product quality?
