In the treatment of organic sulfur in coke oven gas, when iron-molybdenum hydrogenation is used, how much is the CO methanation reaction? At what level below which sulfur content does sulfur release occur? Are there organic sulfur hydrogenation catalysts that do not require sulfidation and produce no side reactions?
Cobalt-molybdenum catalysts were tested in the reduced state, and no methanation reaction occurred with CO. I haven’t worked with iron-molybdenum yet, but I assume that catalysts in their sulfided state have very low activity for methanation reactions. Regarding the question of at what sulfur content level sulfur release occurs, how do you define sulfur release? The general population level should not be below 100PPM. Have there been any organic sulfur hydrogenation catalysts that do not require sulfidation and produce no side reactions? Previously, titanium carriers loaded with cobalt and molybdenum were used as hydrogenation catalysts without the need for sulfidation.
Do titanium-based cobalt-molybdenum catalysts possess hydrogenation activity without sulfidation? Will it also gradually be sulfided as the reaction proceeds? What is the hydrogenation activity after vulcanization?
