Is the corrosion of hydrocracked diesel related to water content in the diesel?

There is definitely a connection. Generally, the corrosion of diesel is caused by naphthenic acids and sulfides; if diesel contains a high amount of water, it creates an electrochemical corrosion environment that exacerbates the corrosion

Use a copper sheet for the corrosion experiment! It is mainly corrosion caused by sulfides. Is it because the depth of the hydrogenation reaction is low, resulting in incomplete desulfurization? Too little water is being poured in. There are many factors related to water in diesel, including the feed to the distillation tower, the level of the overhead reflux tank, and diesel water cooling, among other aspects.
