I would like to ask the teachers in the instrumentation field: is there any requirement regarding orientation when installing twin-rotor flow meters? Can the reverse flow of fluid accurately display the flow rate?
Of course, there is a direction to follow – there are arrows on the rotor; if you install it in the wrong way, it will reverse.
It has a direction! Check it carefully! Check if there are any issues with the installation!
There must be a direction; if you reverse the orientation of the gauge head, and it’s connected via mechanical gears, then you won’t be able to see the flow rate at all – neither the instantaneous nor the cumulative values can be read. If you have a dial with hands, then you’re in even more trouble – the cumulative amount starts to decrease!
