I’d like to ask about the principle of self-circulation in a drum… Please don’t explain it too simply; don’t just talk about pressure. It’s a circulation from top to bottom, and it would be good if there were calculations or some underlying principles involved
It uses a thermosiphon principle. The siphon effect is caused by the gravitational force between liquid molecules and the difference in potential energy; in other words, it utilizes the pressure difference in the water column to cause water to rise and then flow to lower areas. Since the water surface at each end of the pipe is under different atmospheric pressures, water flows from the side with higher pressure to the side with lower pressure, until the atmospheric pressures on both sides are equal and the water levels in the container become the same. At that point, the flow of water stops. The siphon effect can be used to quickly draw water out of a container
