Our company has a by-product: 1,2-dichloroethyl carbonate, with a purity of 88%. There is nowhere to go now. I came across a patent some time ago regarding 1,2-dialkyl-1,2-difluoroethylene carbonate; however, the main raw material used in the production method described in the patent is not 1,2-dichloroethylene carbonate as mentioned earlier, but rather carbonyl fluoride, which is really frustrating. No patent information related to 1,2-dialkyl-1,2-difluoroethylene carbonate can be found. Japanese patents describe this substance as being primarily used in the production of lithium-ion electrolytes, to prevent the formation of lithium dendrites in such electrolytes and thereby extend the battery’s service life. Is there any expert in this field willing to collaborate on the development of the synthesis of 1,2-dialkyl-1,2-difluoroethylene carbonate?
