Yinglite enjoys a certain level of recognition in the PVC industry thanks to its extensive industrial chain and high degree of integration; Ningxia has abundant power resources, ranking first in the country in terms of electricity generation per capita. Yingtai is able to meet its own electricity needs for the production of calcium carbide, which **reduces the production costs of PVC. Compared with PVC manufacturers in the central and eastern regions, it enjoys a cost advantage of several hundred yuan per ton, after accounting for transportation costs. After State Power Investment acquired Yinglite, it invested 61.7 billion yuan in the development of coal chemical industries. A key project within this effort is a coal-based integrated production facility with an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons – a facility that uses bituminous coal as raw material to produce 500,000 tons of methanol per year, 100,000 tons of carbon monoxide per year, and 6,000 tons of hydrogen per year. A range of coal-based methanol products are also being developed; these include methyl alcohol, dimethyl ether, polyoxymethylene, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, and acetate fiber. The methanol industry is currently facing significant pressure due to overcapacity, and many companies are seeking ways to develop downstream products based on methanol. Reply to 2# Learning from Experts: In March this year, Guodian Yinglitai Group signed a contract for the gasification process package for the Ningdong methanol project with General Electric (USA) and Ningxia Santuo Import and Export Company, marking the entry of Yinglitai’s coal-based integrated production project with an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons into its practical implementation phase.
