Single gas duct as double-suction gas duct, please advise

I would like to know the difference between a conventional single-collector single-suction pipe system and a single-collector double-suction pipe system (such as those used in 65-hole coke ovens) What are the differences in gas collector pressure regulation?
I think the pressure in the first gas collection pipe will be easier to control and more stable, as the pressure in the gas collection pipe is set at 5 Pa in the carbonization chamber space at the middle intake pipe. Secondly, it facilitates the recovery of tar, as the slope of the gas collection duct is small.
