I want to use an electric stove for intermittent use, in small batches. 500 kilograms of melting capacity per day. Temperature: 1100 degrees. It can be tilted; I’m not sure whether to choose medium frequency or high frequency I would appreciate advice from the experts. What are the configuration and cost estimates?
For intermittent operation, I think an intermediate-frequency furnace is a better choice. Treat each case on its own merits.
It depends on what material you are melting and how long the processing time will be; generally, if a medium-frequency furnace is used, the power level is around 20W.
I asked, a 200-kilowatt unit should cost no more than 150,000, right? It’s still the advanced kind.
Reply 1# un0000: Generally, those that can be melted using an electric furnace are used, and the quantities involved are not large. Based on what you’ve said, I think a medium-frequency furnace equipped with an IGPS power supply (100–250 KW is fine) is certainly the right choice. Do not use a GPRS power supply; it generates too much noise. As for the furnace body, I think an inclined design is not effective; there is a intermediate step in which the solution inside the furnace must first be poured into a tundish before casting can take place. This makes it easy for precious metals to splash onto the ground, and it also causes the surface temperature of the melt to drop, resulting in defective cast ingots. I recommend using a lift-type system that heats the crucible directly, then lifts it using an electric hoist, allowing a person to control the casting process. The intermediate process is omitted, and precious metals do not easily splash out. The price is around 500,000.
