Our factory produces solid caustic soda using ion-exchange membrane processes; for concentrations ranging from 32% to 50%, we plan to use a two-effect falling-film evaporator, while for concentrations of 50% and above, we intend to use falling-film vacuum evaporation. Those of you who work in the production of solid caustic soda – what process does your company use? Are there any better processes available? Let’s share our experiences and discuss this topic together -
Our plant uses a single-effect falling-film process for solid alkali production, with the resulting concentration being around 60%.
Technically, it is simply a process of concentration; what needs to be studied is the selection of appropriate concentration equipment, while the issues to be addressed are low energy consumption and low costs.
