Why does the ph value of the clean water used to condense H2SO4 become alkaline 9.2-10.3? The condensed water of the refrigeration unit is used for heat exchange of sulfuric acid. After about 20 days of operation, the ph value reaches above 9.2. Why is that? Please tell me.
This is equivalent to circulating cooling water. The heat exchange of sulfuric acid is high, which makes the water concentration ratio high, and the alkalinity in the water is high, which increases the PH value of the water. Such a system needs to add antiscalants, otherwise it will be very easy to scale, which will affect the normal operation of production.

Calibrate the clock and buy new test strips. If it is new, then just calibrate the clock! ! ! Generally speaking, test strips are the most accurate but the least accurate.
Reply 4# ainilf If the pH test paper you use has not deteriorated or has expired, there should be something wrong with your pH meter. The results measured by the pH test paper will not differ greatly from those measured by the pH meter, especially if acid and neutral are measured as alkaline, this is unlikely unless there is something wrong with the equipment. Check the pH meter and measure again, or use a different test paper to measure.
