I’ve never dealt with membrane treatment; does anyone know about it? Please advise!

To be precise, membrane separation is used; in the case of wastewater, it refers to MBR, while for reclaimed water and pure water, it involves microfiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, and electrodialysis

The membrane used in membrane treatment is what we commonly refer to as a sieve, which achieves various effects through filtration through its pores.
In Shanghai, there is Mingtai which deals with membrane filtration for wastewater, as well as Gore membranes.
This is too general. The principle is that the water to be filtered is pumped under pressure into the membrane module; due to the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the membrane, some of the water passes through the membrane, while the impurities in the water are filtered out. The commonly used membrane separation methods include microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF), and reverse osmosis (RO), which can be combined. The size of the particles that can be filtered decreases successively; RO is capable of blocking all dissolved inorganic molecules as well as any organic substances with a relative molecular mass greater than 100, while water molecules can pass through the membrane freely to become the purified product. There are also biofilms (MBR), electrodialysis, and so on, which represent a wide range of treatment technologies.
