The wiring of the flow meter is generally a two-wire system, but there are also three-wire systems. Three-wire system has one signal terminal, one power terminal and one common terminal. What are the advantages of these two design connections?
I don’t think it’s a question of benefits or not, but the needs of the instrument itself.； Some instruments with high power (or due to technological development, etc.) may only be capable of three-wire or four-wire systems.
You are right what you said above. The so-called three-wire system is actually a four-wire instrument. Since the instrument consumes a lot of power, it needs a separate power supply.
