The alkali pipe inside the tank turns red – is this due to a high salt content in the alkali, or is it caused by the degradation of the catholyte coating?

The inlet of the electrolyte cell won’t turn red, right? Only the outlets where the membrane leaks will change color. Is the alkali you’re using contaminated?
It's very simple! Take a sample for analysis to check if it contains trivalent iron ions! If there is an anode inlet pipe, ICP analysis of the secondary refined brine is required to determine the iron content; if iron is present in the cathode, the tank must first be shut down before performing a membrane leak test! If a detailed analysis is needed, please contact me after ruling out the above two possibilities!
