Sulfur at 99% purity is burned to produce sulfur dioxide; the gas is purified through washing, and solid impurities remain in the wastewater. It’s not clear what these substances are, but sulfur constitutes a large proportion of them. I don’t know how to deal with the wastewater issue. If the solid impurities in sulfur dioxide are not washed with water, how should they be dealt with?
If washing with water is not used, traditional methods involve filtration using coke, felt, wire mesh, and asbestos filters. However, these cannot achieve 100% filtration, ensuring that the product meets the standards for qualified goods.
