Question: How many significant digits should be retained for the hydrostatic test values of pressure vessels? Are there any relevant regulations on this?
It’s not called a significant figure, because significant figures start counting from the first non-zero digit on the left. It should be accurate to two decimal places, which is related to the readings on the pressure gauge scale.
Round it off? Round up instead!
