PDSOFT software issues

It is recommended that the original poster uninstall it and reinstall it; if willing to go through the extra effort, it is also suggested to uninstall CAD as well and reinstall it. Also, check whether the software lock is installed properly and whether it is correctly plugged into the USB port of your computer. If nothing else works, go for a complete revolution and start over from scratch with the operating system.

What is a database management system? The system has been installed. The previous database now consists only of individual folders located in the PROJ folder on drive D: PDPD. Please explain in detail how to access them; I’m a beginner. Thank you

Call customer service directly by phone. Instability occurs frequently, and they usually attribute it to CAD instability. . If there is no backup of the database, it will be lost after reinstallation. Take a closer look at the operation instructions they provide. .

Let me share some of my insights. 1. After installing CAD-based software, it is more or less necessary to make modifications to the CAD system; therefore, avoid installing software indiscriminately in order to keep the system clean. In particular, do not install multiple software programs that all require access to CAD. Otherwise, there will be some issues that the software developers cannot explain either. 2. Some software must be installed, but there is concern that it might conflict with other software. VMware can be used to create a virtual system, and the software can be installed on that virtual system. One virtual system per software application; once the virtual files are created, running the software on the virtual system avoids any conflicts. If problems arise, the virtual files can simply be copied back, eliminating the need for reinstallation. Of course, some speed has to be sacrificed. To find out how to use VMware, please look it up online. 3. The issue with ml1988 on the sixth floor is more complicated. PDSOFT’s data management system has a function for packaging project files together to create RAR files for backup; simply load those compressed files next time. The guy didn’t study it carefully* – the project files are stored in the installation directory, and if that directory is gone, damn it! I can’t do anything either; I suggest trying again. 4. 3D model files are quite large; my models are several dozen megabytes in size (using CAD 2006), and it’s common for them to be even hundreds of megabytes. Reading and writing such large files takes a long time, they consume many system resources, and the files themselves are fragile – any minor disturbance during the saving process can ruin the file. It’s best to shut down background applications like QQ and Rising; if Rising starts running suddenly or QQ displays some message during the saving process, well, problems are bound to occur! When the model I was working on reached 40 megabytes, I had to save it, close it, and then reopen it in order to check it; if everything was fine, I would promptly back it up. I was extremely careful, as it represented a lot of hard work! I got a new device this year; it has a model size of over 80 megabytes, and so far there have been no problems. I still can’t afford to be careless! So, one needs to learn how to back up and develop the habit of doing so. 5. If the model file is damaged, don’t worry; CAD has a file repair command available in the File menu, and 80% of the time the file can be recovered. There are CAD file repair tools available online; try them while praying! I have a backup! Hehe!

As long as the database folder is still there, you can retrieve it by creating a new entry with exactly the same project number; give it a try.
