What is a SOE station?

In simple terms, SOE is a DI card with extremely high event time resolution (which of course also requires software support); it is used for querying the first trigger condition event for initiating a chain of trip events at multiple points, with a hardware scanning cycle of 1 ms. Many IO cards these days come equipped with processors and memory, allowing them to store a certain number of SOE records. Therefore, under normal conditions, the main CPU does not record SOE; instead, it is recorded in the IO card, which ensures a resolution of 1 MS and also reduces the load on the main CPU. When a SOE event is triggered, the main CPU reads the records from the IO card (which must support SOE) for the corresponding time range (such as 5 seconds before and after the event).
