Can a gas boiler be used directly as a reboiler?

In desert areas where water is scarce and investment needs to be saved, can a gas boiler be used directly as a reboiler? What are the potential issues?
I can’t be sure about gas boilers; at least I’ve never seen one. A reboiler heats the material in the bottom of the tower through a circulation circuit outside the tower (i.e., in the reboiler); the vapor-liquid mixture that becomes partially vaporized returns to the bottom of the tower. If the material you are heating has a low viscosity and its boiling point is below 200-250 degrees, it is recommended to use heat transfer oil for heating ； However, due to their high viscosity and high boiling points, gas or fuel-fired heaters are used; yet such heaters require a high level of automatic control and need to be designed specifically.
It should be possible; controlling it when using a gas boiler can be rather troublesome.
Reply to 3# wang6815: A suggestion for the original poster. Since the problem is a lack of water, it’s sufficient to collect all the condensate from the system and feed it back into the boiler. As long as the sealing is done properly, the amount of water that needs to be added will be very low
