Guided by the principles of friendly cooperation, complementary strengths, mutual benefit, and common development, and in line with the requirements of integration, scale expansion, and establishment of specialized bases, both parties will build a modern coal chemical project in the Jincheng area that integrates coal mining and coal chemical processing. This project fully leverages the technical and resource strengths of the two enterprises to facilitate the integration of coal chemical industry and petrochemical industry, thereby enabling the transition of our city’s traditional coal chemical industry toward a modern form. During the discussion, Wang Maoshè pointed out that vigorously developing the new energy and new materials industries is an important driver for upgrading the industrial structure and transforming the mode of development. All levels and departments should strengthen and expand the modern coal chemical industry by adopting the concept of scientific development. In accordance with relevant policies, they should actively carry out industrial structure adjustments and accelerate technological progress in this sector. Guided by market demands, while continuing to develop high-concentration nitrogen fertilizer projects, they should shift their focus to the development of C1 chemicals based on alcohol and ether fuels, thereby creating an industrial chain that includes coal-based fertilizers, electricity, alcohol and ether hydrocarbons, as well as fine chemicals. This will enable a transition from primarily producing fertilizers to engaging in modern coal chemical manufacturing, giving rise to new industrial clusters focused on coal-to-oil, coal-to-olefins, coal-to-natural gas, and coal-to-ethylene glycol production. It will also help to establish a more mature and stable circular economy industrial chain, strengthening the modern coal chemical industry and thereby enhancing the overall competitiveness of our city’s coal chemical sector.
