To make a living, I wander from place to place; I waste my best years working on boilers. The arc light cannot show me the path ahead; molten iron cannot build the home I desire; the molten pool cannot give shape to my love. Flux buries my youth, while splashes take away all my dreams. Tungsten arc welding only accelerates the graying of my hair. I want to fly freely, to be happy and healthy like others, but unfortunately, the welding torch holds back my wings. Welding wires bind my body and mind; welding wire cannot sew together the clothes of my dreams, nor can welding rods connect my hopes. The welding machine cannot express my sorrow, while ovens turn me old. Undercoating cannot uncover the treasures in my life; filling materials cannot fill the emptiness in my heart; sealing compounds cannot hide the signs of aging on my face. Rays cannot penetrate the confusion in my heart, and ultrasound can never detect my melancholy. The road ahead is still long. In this heartless world, who understands the sorrow of us welders?
Life is like that – full of pain and sorrow. Even when trying to suppress sadness, dreams are still necessary; only then do we have a chance to soar again. There must be some sunshine in life. Which parent doesn’t care deeply about you? Learn to feel gratitude and be strong. No matter how difficult or tired things get, let those who love you know that you are their eternal support. Always keep smiling, even when storms arise and darkness grips your fragile heart. Don’t forget to stay true to your right path. Remember, the sun will rise in the east again tomorrow
