Issues related to the renovation of solvent oil plants

The solvent oil plant is quite simple, but our factory is going to carry out renovations in July – two new towers will be installed: one for aromatic extraction and the other for aromatic distillation. I asked my supervisors about this, and they said it’s for producing aromatics. If anyone knows, could they explain how it’s possible to produce aromatics by modifying the solvent oil plant? I remember that in catalytic reforming, there are processes for extracting and distilling heavy aromatics; could it be that the goal is to produce high-octane gasoline?
From a process perspective: one aromatic extraction tower and one aromatic distillation tower are used to extract aromatics from solvent oil.
