Can pipes made of 20# steel and 16Mn steel be welded together? Will there be any issues with their properties after welding? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
It can be welded; as long as the welding materials and welds are handled properly, and after appropriate treatment, there will be no problems.
According to standard B/T4709-2000, it is acceptable to use welding electrodes of the types E4303 and E4315 along with electrode grades J422 and J427
Both are entirely made of carbon steel pipes. We have pipes welded from carbon steel and stainless steel, which are generally used in areas with lower pressure. If the landlord intends to use it only on important special occasions, then it shouldn’t be used
To add, the fact that the so-called scaffold cannot be made of carbon steel means it cannot come into direct contact with it; let alone being welded to it directly! When different metals are in contact, a potential difference exists, which promotes corrosion.

No problem; according to the equal-strength theory, a lower-grade weld material is sufficient, one that is suitable for grade 20 steel. This still doesn’t count as welding of dissimilar steels ； Appropriate processing methods can be used for dissimilar steels without any problems
