What are the sources of biomass used in the operation of existing domestic direct-burning biomass power generation units? Should the company establish its own network for direct acquisitions, or is there some other simpler way?
Currently, the main fuels for direct biomass combustion power generation include agricultural straws, rice husks, and small branches from forestry. The procurement of agricultural straws and forestry branch wood requires dealing with thousands of individual farmers; without a proper procurement system, not only is efficiency low, but the quality of the fuel cannot be ensured either. It is recommended that the procurement of agricultural straws follow a model involving power plants, fuel companies, brokers, and farmers. The fuel company enters into an agreement with a broker, who is responsible for carrying out the actual acquisition. Since brokers have certain networks in various local areas, fuel procurement is relatively secure. The purchase of rice husks, since it takes place between enterprises, is relatively easy to handle; as long as the price is reasonable, there are basically no issues. The power plant just needs to go to the rice processing plant regularly as needed. Currently, fuel companies mainly operate under two models. One is established by the power plant. Another option is to establish specialized fuel supply companies for multiple power plants. Additionally, it is recommended to set up a certain number of storage stations within the scope of fuel procurement; although this adds extra steps to the procurement process, it does increase the cost of fuel. However, establishing necessary storage stations can improve fuel security for power plants. Without fuel, power plants generate no profit.
