Personal understanding: When the pressure remains relatively stable, the maximum pressure value measured should be at 4/3 of the gauge’s range; this way, the instrument’s reading error is reduced and the measurement accuracy improves. In areas with large pressure fluctuations, it is better to choose a value between 1/2 and 2/3 of the range. The reason is that when using a pressure gauge, the measurement value falls within the range of 2/3 to 3/4 of the total scale, and reference error is the main factor to consider.
