Looking back, starting from the hydrostatic test and going through a series of preliminary preparations such as system purging, steam purging, catalyst filling, instrument calibration, airtightness testing, methanol washing operations, and individual unit tests, various difficulties were overcome and finally, yesterday, the entire process was completed successfully, with methanol being produced! The Shenhua Baotou Coal-to-Olefins Project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in December 2006. It is located 20 kilometers southwest of Baotou City in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The total investment amount is 16.5 billion yuan. The project’s capacity includes 1.8 million tons per year of coal-to-methanol production, 600,000 tons per year of methanol-to-olefins production, 300,000 tons per year of polyethylene production, 300,000 tons per year of polypropylene production. There are also 4 oxygen production units with a capacity of 60,000 cubic meters per hour, 3 thermal power plants with an evaporation capacity of 480 tons per hour, as well as various auxiliary production facilities and utility systems. The core technology makes use of methanol-to-olefins technology with independent domestic intellectual property rights, while other major process units employ world-leading coal chemical/petrochemical technologies, including GE’s water-coal slurry gasification technology, Linde’s low-temperature methanol washing technology from Germany, DAVY’s methanol synthesis technology from the UK, DOW’s polypropylene technology from the US, and UNIVATION’s polyethylene technology from the US. According to the approval, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has allocated 1.25 billion tons of coal resources for this project. The project is designed to consume 5 million tons of coal per year, with an annual output of 750,000 tons of petrochemical products such as polyethylene and polypropylene. Based on the current market prices for coal and polyolefin products, the total cost per ton of polyolefin is around 6,000 yuan. The factory can generate annual sales revenue of 8 billion yuan and a profit of 4 billion yuan. The overall design and preliminary design of the project have been completed; detailed design work is being carried out step by step, and on-site construction has already begun in full swing. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2009, with operation set to begin in 2010. 】
Congratulations! Which factory is it? It would be great to go and take a look, hehe!
Reply to 1# z880347730: Congratulations! I wish all the employees of your company to keep up their efforts and produce high-quality methanol as soon as possible!
Congratulations! However, it is still recommended that the owner stay calm – launching a product is just the first step; what’s really important is achieving stability, safety, reliability, growth, and excellence, and that is quite difficult.
Congratulations! Happy congratulations! Start it up, stabilize it, and see results – that’s the goal now: loveliness:
The first step of the long journey has been completed; it wasn’t easy. Keep working hard.
Baotou Shenhua – what a great place; I almost went there!
Congratulations! I wonder what catalyst is being used! !
Congratulations to the original poster! It’s just too far from us; I hope to go and see it if I get the chance
Haha, congratulations, boss!~~~~
