I’ve seen in some sources that the unit for dynamic viscosity is given as Kg/m·s; so how is this converted to Pa·s? I also found such a conversion relationship online: 1 kilogram-force second per square meter (kgf·s/m2) = 9.80665 pascals-second (Pa·s). Question: Is Kg/m.s equal to kgf·s/m2?

Viscosity of fluids (dynamic viscosity). 1) Physical meaning of viscosity: The shear stress required to produce a unit velocity gradient in a direction perpendicular to the flow direction when a fluid is flowing. The physical nature of viscosity: intermolecular attraction and molecular thermal motion, collisions. For an ideal fluid, it is assumed that μ=0. For liquids: as T increases, μ decreases; for gases: generally, as T increases, μ increases. At extremely high pressures, as p increases, μ increases. 2) The unit of viscosity: In the SI system, it is Pa·s or kg/(m·s); in the CGS system, it is cP (centipoise). Conversion factor: 1 cP = 10-3 Pa·s·m2/s. Kinematic viscosity. Note: The value above was found on the Internet
The original poster can see it by standardizing the units! Keep only the units Kg, m, s – it’s the same!
