The terminal resistance of some safety barriers is 130 ohms, while that of Ubide is 300 ohms. Does terminal resistance refer to the load-carrying capacity? High terminal resistance has an impact on voltage, so how to solve this?
This isn’t very clear either, hehe. I’ll help the original poster out; looking forward to guidance from experts~
It’s not really clear, but the instrument indicates a load resistance of 250 ohms; this is because 4–20 mA and 1–5 V are both internationally standard signals.
My understanding is as follows: For the Nanjing Youbei safety gate mentioned, its output resistance ranges from 0 to 300Ω when a current signal is output; this value indicates the load capacity of the safety gate. As long as the load in the external circuit falls within this range, the accuracy of the output current can be ensured. Beyond this range, the accuracy of the output current cannot be guaranteed. Solutions: Reduce the impedance of the external circuit load, increase the diameter of the wires in the external circuit, etc. Furthermore, for safety gates with a 0(1)—5V voltage output, the required load resistance is ≥500kΩ. Such a load resistance does not cause significant current division across the voltage sampling resistor of the safety gate; in other words, it does not alter the circuit’s behavior, thus ensuring the accuracy of the output voltage. Yes or no, please correct me.

The safety barriers manufactured by our company in accordance with corporate standards have an output load impedance of 0–330 ohms when delivering a 4–20mA current. In other words, as long as the internal resistance of the connected input device is within 330 ohms, the accuracy of 4–20mA can be ensured. At the same time, taking into account port internal resistances greater than 330 ohms, as well as situations where multiple devices are connected in series within the current circuit, our company is able to provide load impedances of higher values, up to 1000 ohms. Thank you!
