For existing packaged air handling units, if the wind pressure is insufficient, can a fan section be added? Is this possible?
It should be possible to do so; the wind pressure increases while the air volume remains unchanged.
It’s too troublesome to modify the air handling unit; instead, a booster fan can be added to the return air duct
Then electric control valves should be installed on the return air, exhaust air, and fresh air ducts respectively, right?
If there is enough space in the machine room, considering adding an return air section is an option. But the pressure distribution of the entire system must be recalculated! Then select the air pressure parameters for the return fan. The relevant amount of work for civil engineering increases accordingly. I suggest you calculate the cost investment for replacing the supply fan and adding a return fan section before making a decision! Use the one that’s practical! ! !
Maybe make the filter thinner and clean it frequently. . .
Currently, I plan to install the return air fan on the duct; I’m not sure what the results will be
