A clean area is part of an explosion-proof environment; behind it is a machinery room, which is located against a wall that serves as an explosion relief surface. I wonder whether the electrical equipment in that machinery room needs to be explosion-proof as well?
If there are no flammable or explosive gases, liquids, and dusts in the mechanical plant, it should not be necessary.
