Our company has long been unable to reach a consensus on whether we can make our own tees in dangerous oil and gas locations, and the on-site practices are quite confusing. I think that when some low-pressure pipe sections are connected and the working medium is weakly corrosive, you can consider processing the tee by yourself, but for high-pressure and highly corrosive media (such as: (Working pressure above 7MPa, places containing sulfur and high chloride ions, etc.) It is not recommended to use homemade tees. Custom-made tees should be made. Is my opinion correct? Welcome all friends to discuss it. Thank you in advance!
Low-pressure and non-corrosive parts can make homemade tees, but high-pressure or severely corroded or highly toxic media are not allowed.
I checked a lot of information, but I don’t seem to see relevant specifications or regulations, such as the "Petrochemical Plant Process Pipeline Installation Design Manual", and there are no relevant regulations.
The regulations on gas pipelines seem to be that those larger than 0.5 times the diameter of the main pipe need to be equipped with tees, and the rest need to be reinforced. I don’t know what homemade tees mean?

Let me tell you clearly that high voltage is absolutely not allowed. Low voltage must meet the standard requirements before it can be produced on site. However, most sites do not have corresponding detection and testing equipment, so it is not recommended.
If enough reinforcement is done, it should be okay, but obviously low voltage is safer! Even if reinforcement is not done, it is difficult to say about the high pressure, especially where the construction quality is not guaranteed, but the finished product is guaranteed! I * Because all our pipes are low-pressure pipes, basically 1.6MPa and below, we tend to open tees ourselves. We use the hole pulling machine.
