The main difficulty in measuring dimethyl ether is the formation of bubbles in the liquid, which affects the measurement results. Zhangjiagang Energy Company uses e+h horizontal pipes for this purpose, and the measurement outcomes are satisfactory; it seems that vertical pipes would yield even better results. Emerson states that they have no issues dealing with liquid ammonia as well. Both media are equally prone to forming bubbles, but in terms of practical applications, I have not seen any evidence of Emerson’s effectiveness in this regard, so it’s hard to say. But what the real estate market says is incorrect; dimethyl ether costs several thousand yuan per ton, so the cost should not be high.
