Although automation is receiving increasing attention in business development, the development of professionals in automated instrumentation in practice is far from satisfactory. It is often said that many hands make light work, yet the number of professionals in the field of automated instrumentation is relatively small among the enterprise’s technical staff; as a result, this field has not yet received the attention it deserves. Automation instrumentation is one of the fields that evolves most rapidly; therefore, those working in this industry must continuously update their knowledge from the start of their career, otherwise they risk being left behind.
In the early days, those who worked in automation were technical workers, and their salaries were higher than those of process engineers; it was well known that a career in technology offered good prospects. Now, we live in a society where technology is not necessary, and there’s nothing we can do about it.

Those who are self-motivated not only need to keep updating their knowledge at all times, but also must learn about manufacturing processes, equipment, and electrical systems in order to do their work well. How is it less than the number in the craft disciplines?
