Question: How can I remove the headers and footers from a Word document?
Just open the header and footer, and delete everything inside them

I. Direct removal method: Go to Menu > View > Header and Footer. Place the cursor on the header (or footer) where the horizontal line is to be removed. Click Menu > Format > Borders and Shading (as shown in Figure 1). In the dialog box that appears, select “Paragraph” in the lower right corner of the Header tab. In the preview, you will see a bottom border; click it or use the button to hide or show the border. The bottom border in the preview will disappear, after which you can confirm to exit. II. Style Modification Method: Go to Menu > Format, then select Style and Format. A Style and Format task pane will appear on the right side of the WORD document (as shown in Figure 2). Locate the “Header” style, click the downward arrow button at its far right, and choose “Modify…”. This will open the style modification window (as shown in Figure 3). In the lower left corner of this window, check the “Add to Template” checkbox and then click the “Format” button. From the menu that appears, select “Border”. The rest of the steps are the same as those in the first method
