The pressure transmitter is connected to the equipment via a flange (the equipment is heated). Does the flange of the pressure transmitter also need to be heated?
Where exactly? What environment? Temperature of the device connected to it! The pressure transmitter flange you mentioned likely refers to a single-flange pressure transmitter; as long as the medium at the diaphragm does not crystallize, insulation is not necessary!
If the medium being measured tends to crystallize, it is necessary to provide flushing water at the flange diaphragm; however, the pressure of this flushing water should not be too high, so as not to affect the measurement.
Check whether the medium temperature can be transmitted; if it’s a long blind section, provide heat tracing
It should be determined based on the characteristics of the process medium and the operating environment. It can also be decided in practical applications.
Based on experience, if your medium pipeline is insulated, it’s best to keep it insulated.
