What oil is best for use as quench oil?

Is it heavy paraffin oil that is suitable as a quench oil, or light paraffin oil? Is it true that the lower the temperature of the quench oil, the better? What is an appropriate temperature?
Quench oil has little to do with temperature; it mainly depends on the amount of heat it releases
Either one will work; the temperature requirement isn’t high – as long as it can flow, that’s sufficient. It mainly depends on the equipment. But no one uses heavy wax; if heavy wax is used, will the heat exchange process be appropriate?
Temperature and composition need to be taken into account; if it is too heavy, it cannot be completely vaporized, which will exacerbate coking in the large oil and gas lines. If the temperature is too low, the amount required is very small, and thus the washing effect cannot be achieved. The design of the East China Plant uses middle distillate oil, while SEI’s new processes all use heavy paraffin oil (processes without a middle distillate stage). Diesel works too!
We have wax oil and low oil levels in the vent tower
We use heavy gasoline here, and we haven’t noticed any change. Crude gasoline is cooled.
