I would like to ask: when we talk about the “turbine” in a turbo compressor, does it refer to its prime mover system? And a reciprocating compressor refers to its compression method, right? In industry, are compressors traditionally named based on their driving system or on the compression method they use? Are there any unified design standards or something? Since I’m a newcomer in chemical engineering design, I sometimes misunderstand things when listening to more experienced colleagues explain things, so I’d like to ask those with more experience to help clarify them for me!
