What causes abnormal noises in a reciprocating compressor?

During an on-site inspection, it was found that the third cylinder of the reciprocating compressor was producing abnormal noises (this compressor has three cylinders integrated together). I would appreciate it if experts could help analyze what might be the cause.
1. Confirm whether it is the sound of metal; if so, stop the machine immediately for inspection and repair. 2. Determine whether it is the sound of a gas valve; if so, stop the machine and check the valve disc, valve seat, spring, etc. of the gas valve. 3. Has there been any change in the pressure during import and export? Is the sealing ring damaged? The only option is to stop the machine for inspection and replacement. If the abnormal noise doesn’t go away, the vehicle must be stopped for inspection; it will disappear only then

1. It is possible that the seal ring or oil scrapper ring (when oil lubrication is used) is damaged. 2. The exhaust valve is damaged, causing gas to flow back or valve fragments to enter the cylinder. 3. A small amount of liquid is present in the cylinder.
