Many of the instruments in our company were damaged due to freezing last year; the main reasons were inadequate heating for these instruments and poor quality of the insulation enclosures. This year we plan to replace them, and we hope you can recommend some options. The large fertilizer plant in Hohhot uses instrument cabinets produced by the former Xi’an Instrument Factory and equipped with steam heating, and they perform fairly well. It’s a bit colder than where you are. I also went to Wuhu Petrochemical in Xinjiang to take a look; their insulation boxes are custom-made. Although they don’t look great, they offer excellent insulation performance. It is recommended that you place an order with a professional manufacturer for production. There are many manufacturers in the south, and the prices are very low, but it is recommended not to choose them!
The few we’ve used all seem to have average quality! It is recommended that LZ go and conduct an inspection, and when placing orders, specify clear requirements regarding the insulation type, material, and thickness of the insulated box, as well as the heating method.
We manufacture instrument panels in Daqing, and the temperature there should be lower than that in Ordos. Poor maintenance of steam tracing can lead to freezing. We have switched to hot water heating here, and the results are excellent. For inquiries, please contact 0459-6764110.
Low-carbon practices are now encouraged; it is recommended to use GRP for the material of insulated boxes, with a service life of 10 years. The commonly used stainless steel or carbon steel with powder coating cannot compare to it. And the price is also relatively low. This was learned at this training session.
In low-temperature areas, the insulation type, material, thickness of the insulated box, as well as the requirements for heating systems are very important, and these should be specified to the manufacturer.
