How is the fire separation distance determined for a 5,000 cubic meter liquefied gas tank room?
Relevant provisions are set out in Article 6.3.3 of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises GB50160-2008.
There are two cases: in one case, the spacing between measures to prevent accidental emissions to the flare is 0.5D, and in the other case it is 1.0D; refer to Article 6.3.3 of GB50160-2008.

D is the diameter of the larger adjacent storage tank; 2. The fire separation requirements for liquid ammonia storage tanks should be the same as those for liquefied hydrocarbon storage tanks ; The fire separation distance between liquid oxygen storage tanks shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings (GB50016) ; 3. For pressure storage tanks of Class A liquid methyl compounds with a boiling point below 45°C, the fire separation requirements applicable to fully pressurized liquefied hydrocarbon storage tanks shall be followed ; 4. When the fire separation distance between horizontal (vertical) tanks with a single tank volume of liquefied hydrocarbons ≤ 200 m3 is greater than 1.5 m, 1.5 m may be adopted ; 5. When the fire separation distance between the horizontal (vertical) tanks for the combustion-supporting gas exceeds 1.5 m, 1.5 m may be adopted ; 6. “﹡” indicates that they should not be arranged in the same group.

It is advisable to determine the fire separation distances for LPG storage tanks in accordance with Section 4.4 of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings, which deals with fire separation distances for LPG storage tanks (areas). As for the distance between spherical tanks, Section 4.4.2 states that \"the fire separation distance between LPG storage tanks should not be less than the diameter of the larger adjacent tank.\" The spacing from other buildings may refer to the provisions in 4.4.1.
