May I ask if the output of the mass spectrometer is RS485? How can it be converted into a current signal? Our factory uses a PRIMA 600. Thank you
In principle, it is not advisable to convert digital signals back into analog signals, as RS485 is primarily used for transmitting multiple parameters. The results of mass spectrometry analysis often consist of data from multiple channels; if these are converted to analog signals, then the number of analog outputs would need to equal the product of the number of parameters and the number of channels, which would be very complicated.
Wasn’t a 4–20mA signal provided at the time of ordering? If not, it can be connected directly to the system communication card
It should have one or two analog outputs; it’s possible to select two components for analog output. For full-component analysis or analysis of multiple components, RS485 is still the better choice.
