As the title suggests, how are flange bolts considered in CAESAR II software? How do I add the weight of the bolt? Should the weight of the bolts be taken into consideration?
I don’t think it’s necessary. After all, the weight of the bolts is limited, so it has no significant impact on the secondary stresses in the pipes. If the original poster wants to consider it, they can take the weight of the bolts into account when modeling. The HG flange standards or ASME flange standards, along with relevant software, are available for reference
Bolts don’t need to be considered here; an additional calculation can be done for them. If they are taken into account, add a rigid body
I don’t think it needs to be considered generally. If it is truly necessary, then place the weight on the flange.
