The shell diameter is 3200 MM; the calculated heat exchange area is 2129.832 M2. The tube length is 6 M, and the tube specifications are 38*2.5. Could you please tell me how to calculate the number of tubes and the number of rows of tubes in the center row? Thank you! ~~
The total number of heat exchange tubes is obtained by dividing the total heat exchange area by the external surface area of a single tube, of course after deducting the area that extends into the tube sheet. There seems to be a calculation method for the number of tubes in the central tube array, but it’s quite complex; it is recommended to use piping software to arrange the tubes, and then the quantity will be determined.

You can simply draw circles and use arrays in CAD; CAD also has ways to count pipes.
