To all candidates: In order to ensure smooth registration processes at the provincial registration centers for the 2010 National Examination for Certified Engineers in Surveying and Design, the relevant details are as follows: 1. Exam dates: The 2010 National Examination for Certified Engineers in Surveying and Design will be held on September 18th and 19th, 2010 (see Attachment 1 for details). II. Answering Methods and Management System for Subjects: All professional qualification exams are managed on a dynamic basis; candidates taking the basic exams or the specialized exams must pass all subjects within the same examination year. The basic exams for each major are closed-book tests; candidates are only allowed to use the exam manual provided uniformly (which is collected after the exam), and no other reference materials are permitted. For the basic exams in various specialties, there is a unified test paper in the morning, while there are specialty-specific test papers in the afternoon. The professional exams for each specialty are open-book exams, allowing candidates to bring various professional standards, reference books, and review manuals published by reputable publishers. Candidates should bring a 2B pencil, a pen or fountain pen with black ink, a set of trigonometric rulers, an eraser, and a calculator without text-display or programming functions when taking the exam. Draft paper is provided uniformly by the examination site in quantities sufficient for candidates to complete their answers, and it is collected after the exam. Candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing any materials or communication devices such as mobile phones into the examination area; those who violate this rule will be dealt with in accordance with general rules regarding disciplinary violations. Among them, registered civil engineers (water resources and hydropower engineering) can choose from five specialized fields: water resources and hydropower engineering planning, hydraulic structures, geology of water resources and hydropower projects, resettlement related to water resources and hydropower projects, and soil and water conservation in such projects. (1) Eligibility requirements for Level 1 and Level 2 registered structural engineers: Applications and eligibility assessments shall be carried out in strict accordance with the \"Eligibility requirements for the basic examination and professional examination of the 2010 National Level 1 Registered Structural Engineer Practice Qualification Examination, as well as the eligibility requirements for the Level 2 Registered Structural Engineer Practice Qualification Examination\" (Appendix 2) and relevant regulations (details on required educational qualifications are provided in Appendix 3). (II) Eligibility requirements for registered civil engineers (geotechnical): 1. (2) Hold an associate degree in this field or a related field, and have at least 1 year of work experience in geotechnical engineering. (3) Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in another engineering field, and have at least 1 year of work experience in geotechnical engineering. 2. Those who have passed the basic examination and meet one of the following conditions may apply to take the professional examination: (1) Having obtained a doctoral degree in this field, with at least 2 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering ; Or hold a doctoral degree in a related field, with at least 3 years of cumulative work experience in geotechnical engineering. (2) Hold a master’s degree in this field, with at least 3 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering ; Or hold a master’s degree in a related field, with at least 4 years of cumulative work experience in geotechnical engineering. (3) Hold a double bachelor’s degree in this field or have graduated from a graduate program, with at least 4 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering ; Or hold a double bachelor’s degree in a related field or have graduated from a graduate program, with at least 5 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering. (4) Hold a bachelor’s degree in this field, with at least 5 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering ; Or possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with at least 6 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering. (5) Hold an associate degree in this field, with at least 6 years of cumulative work experience in geotechnical engineering ; Or possess an associate degree in a related field, with at least 7 years of cumulative work experience in geotechnical engineering. (6) Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in another engineering field, with a total of 8 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering. 3. Those who meet one of the following conditions may be exempted from the basic exam and only need to take the professional exam: (1) Obtained a master’s degree or higher in this field before 1991, with a total of 6 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering ; Or hold a master’s degree or higher in a related field, with at least 7 years of cumulative experience in geotechnical engineering. (2) Before 1991, having obtained a double bachelor’s degree in this field or graduated from a graduate program, with a total of at least 7 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering ; Or hold a double bachelor’s degree in a related field or have graduated from a graduate program, with a total of 8 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering. (3) Before 1989, obtained a bachelor’s degree in this field, with a total of 8 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering ; Or possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with at least 9 years of cumulative work experience in geotechnical engineering. (7) Before 1977, having obtained an associate degree in this field, or before 1972 having obtained an associate degree in a related field, with a total of 10 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering.
