How can chromatography instruments be adjusted quickly and accurately? Please give some advice
Generally, for newly purchased instruments, the supplier’s engineers come to carry out the calibration. If it’s an old instrument, then one has to adjust it by oneself; it’s quite normal for this to take one to three days. The main tasks that need to be carried out include: 1. Proper connection of the power supply lines; 2. Inspection of the gas supply system; 3. Check of electrical components; 4. Testing of the detector
Adjusting it according to the operating instructions usually takes about half a day.
It depends on what kind of analysis you use and what you do, as well as your understanding of chromatography.
Install the hardware (accessories, cables) and software (workstation) correctly. Proceed with standard sample testing.

At first, one can learn some important basic knowledge during the engineer’s debugging process; later on, as the instrument is used, one can gradually understand the functions of each part of it – in other words, learning how to maintain it based on proper use.
Follow the operation manual, and you will be able to master how to use it in two days. But to reach a proficient level, it takes more than half a year.
