The standard issues regarding gasoline and diesel produced from coal-to-oil processes

There are **standard implementation** standards; companies can establish their own corporate standards, but these corporate standards must be higher than the national standards, and they need to go through **approval procedures**.

It must be at least higher than the national standard; this is essential.

I heard that Shenhua and Yitai have already obtained the wholesale qualifications for refined oil issued by **; standards shouldn’t be an issue in this case. But it remains a mystery as to what criteria were used to grant them those qualifications.

Coal-to-oil products have a very low sulfur content, making them high-quality gasoline and diesel products. It’s not a big issue if their sulfur content exceeds the current national standards, but it would be a loss to sell such high-quality oil at the same price as regular gasoline and diesel! From a corporate perspective, mixing and selling it with existing petroleum-based products seems like a step backward.

Reply 7# heatwave1976: In terms of impurity content, the oil produced through indirect liquefaction is of high quality; from the perspective of combustion properties, the diesel obtained via indirect liquefaction is of good quality, while gasoline of similar quality is less available. However, such high-quality diesel still lacks suitable engines to match it, so blending is a compromise solution.

Yitai and Lu’an’s diesel has met the Euro V standard.

Have Shenhua, Yitai, and Lu’an all obtained the qualifications for wholesale of refined oil? Is this message reliable? For small private enterprises, how should they sell the naphtha, gasoline, and diesel that are produced through indirect liquefaction? Everyone, give some suggestions!

If private enterprises enter the synthetic oil industry, their scale is generally not very large. It is difficult to obtain qualifications for wholesale of refined oil products. If they are unable to process and refine the raw materials produced, they have to find ways to cooperate with the three major petrochemical companies by supplying them with high-quality raw materials; in such cases, a portion of the profits will be taken away from them. If they are able to process and refine the materials themselves, they can work with private gas stations to supply them with products. Apart from oil, one can consider other products with high added value; at least such products are not subject to the restrictions associated with wholesale qualifications for refined oil. However, the market capacity for these high-value products is limited after all, so it’s better to enter the market early if the opportunity arises, in order to reap benefits sooner.
