I would like to ask what the solubility of methyl nitrite in methanol is Is nitric acid soluble in methanol? Methanol is present in the dehydration process using molecular sieves; what effect does methanol have on molecular sieves?
The decomposition temperature of methyl nitrite is 90–120°; under the action of a catalyst, decomposition begins at 120°.
