Looking at a process diagram, the pipes are labeled as FGC103d-80-3D1 and VA101d-50-3D1; The valves are of DN50-3D1-C3 and BD103b-50-3D1 types. What do these mean? What does each letter and digit represent? Could someone please help explain this? Thank you

It should be medium code - pipeline number - diameter - pipe grade; for details, refer to the legend on the first page of the process flow diagram.

The entire PID diagram set should include a legend that provides explanations, with annotations for the pipes included in it.
3D1 pipeline grade: here, 3 indicates a pressure rating of 3 MPa, D denotes the material (the specific type of material can only be found on the first page of the drawings; different design firms use different designations for it), and 1 represents the sequence number of pipelines with the same material and pressure rating.
