Ozone treatment of wastewater

After biochemical treatment, the COD is around 400; it mainly contains heterocyclic organic compounds such as quinones. What is the appropriate amount of ozone to be added for modification, and which type of ozone should be used? Additionally, what are the requirements regarding the scale of the equipment and the manufacturers to consider?
It is possible to utilize the strong oxidizing property of ozone to oxidize and decompose COD, as well as to denature certain high-molecular-weight or hard-to-degrade substances, thereby improving the biodegradability of wastewater. This approach is widely used in engineering applications. However, due to differences in the types of wastewater, as well as variations in the amount of COD that needs to be degraded, the amount of ozone required varies, and different models of ozone generators must be selected accordingly. The dosage must be determined based on the test conditions, and these test conditions must correspond to the actual engineering conditions; otherwise, it has little meaning.
